Entrepreneurs find it easier to talk to another entrepreneur. René Portielje understands like no other what entrepreneurs come up against and helps them profile and future-proof their businesses.

From international brands to his own entrepreneurship
René started his career at Van Nelle, was marketing manager at Andrélon and worked for international brands of Unilever. He later joined Dr Van der Hoog as an entrepreneur, where he learned to stand on his own two feet and eventually successfully sold the company.

Advice from practical experience
After his retirement, René joined Ondernemersklankbord to continue actively applying his knowledge. He mainly supports starting and growing entrepreneurs and enjoys working with the younger generation. “The beauty of OKB is that we are there for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, without any commercial interest,” he says.

Getting help in time
René stresses the importance of seeking help in time. When entrepreneurs turn to him, he first listens to their story and explores the future prospects with them.
