The EWE Network Days

The Entrepreneurs’ Sounding Board Foundation (OKB), in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, implements government policy on early warning. In this context, OKB is affiliated with the Early Warning Europe Network (EWE Network): a formal alliance of European organizations that support entrepreneurs facing potential financial difficulties. Geldfit Zakelijk is also a member of this network.

From June 11 to 13, Hans Holtus (OKB advisor) and Hans Klein Swormink (OKB director) participated in the annual EWE Network Days, this time organized in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, which currently holds the EU presidency.

International gathering in Warsaw

The event kicked off on Wednesday, June 11, with an informal welcome dinner in a traditional Polish restaurant. Representatives from countries including Finland, Denmark, Romania, Italy, Greece, and Cyprus met in a warm and collegial atmosphere.

On Thursday, June 12, the official EWE Day took place. The morning featured various speakers and a panel discussion. The central theme was the need for European regulation for entrepreneurs in financial distress (in default). In the afternoon, the group split in two: mentors explored beautiful Warsaw, while voting members attended the General Assembly of the EWE Network. The day concluded festively with a networking reception and dinner.

Friday, June 13, was entirely dedicated to the European Mentor Day. Mentors from various countries shared experiences, best practices, and insights on how mentoring is structured and implemented in their own countries.

The network days in Warsaw were a great success. Participants found common ground in their mission: supporting entrepreneurs who take personal risk in running a business.
